Cathedral’s Director for our Catholic Youth Program. Lisa, from Memphis,

Religion. In college, Lisa's activities included Religious Life Council,
Phi Mu Executive Council, Student Ambassador, and Peer Counselor. Her
awards include Dean's list, Psi Chi National Honor Society, Volleyball
All-tournament Team, Annual Sportsmanship Award, and the Lambuth
Christian Service Award. She organized campus-wide prayer groups and
co-directed Search, a Catholic high school retreat.
Lisa was a Youth Intern at First United Methodist Church in December
2000 to June 2002. During this time, she led weekly bible studies and
organized week-long retreats to Florida and later became Youth Director
at the church. Lisa lead this group on a mission trip to a Mexican
orphanage and to a Christian music festival in Pennsylvania. Before
joining the Cathedral, she was a Youth Intern at Brentwood United
Methodist Church. There she had experience leading lock-ins, prayer
groups, and traveled with them on trips and retreats. She also lead
seminars on prayer at Breakthrough, a retreat attended by several
churches.
Lisa graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School in May 2004 with a
Masters in Theological Education. Her emphasis was in Pastoral Care in
the Catholic Church. Lisa is married to Josh Vegors. Lisa is not the only
youth ministering the family, her husband Josh is pursuing a certificate
at CYMT (Center for Youth Ministry Training) which is in relationship
with Duke Divinity School, The Center for Church Leadership at Martin
Methodist College, and the Institute for Youth Ministry at Princeton
Theological Seminary while maintaining his position as Youth Director at
Nolensville United Methodist church.
Throughout the year, Lisa will update her database and assemble a
directory of teens participating in the Youth Program, so your prompt
response to this short questionnaire is a must! This will allow the
participants and their parents to provide Lisa with information that
will help her to design a program which will meet the needs of our
teenage parishioners. Please take the time to complete your registration
here online. This is an excellent opportunity for our youth to REJOICE &
REJOIN.
