The Cathedral is supported by music accompaniment at all masses as well as for special feast days, funerals and special events. The music ministry is open to all members of the parish regardless of age, musical training or musical ability. 

We are made up of amateurs and professionals who love the church and the music ministry.  We encourage members of all ages to join us.

Adult Choirs / Contemporary Choir / Children's Choir / Cantors  / "Second Sunday"

Adult Choirs

We have two adult choirs at the Cathedral.  We sing at the 8:30 am Mass on the first Sunday of the month and 11:00 am Mass the rest of the month.  Rehearsal for this choir is on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the rehearsal room just above the sacristy. 

Contemporary Choir

The contemporary ensemble leads singing at the 6:00 p.m. Mass.  The choir sings mostly contemporary music and is accompanied by piano, guitars, mandolin, flute, and percussion instruments.  More instruments and vocalists are welcome.

Children's Choir

Dr. Patrick and Kim Forrest have decided to take the lead in getting the children's choir up and running.  Please watch the Sunday bulletin for more detail on rehearsal schedules.  They will be getting the children prepared for the Christmas liturgy.  Our thanks to them for taking on this most important ministry with our children.

Cantors

As you know we have cantors who lead the music at all of our Masses.  We ask that cantors join and be a part of our choirs so they will become familiar with our repertoire and receive additional training in the skills needed to participate in this ministry.  Once you join a choir, just let the director know you are interested in being a part of this ministry.

“Second Sunday” Cathedral Praise and Worship

The Cathedral Praise and Worship Group provide a venue for heartfelt prayer and praise encouraging all to a deeper relationship with God. The group ministers through a combination of traditional and contemporary music, prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, and fellowship.
