October 20, 2009
Dear Cathedral Parishioners,
On behalf of Bishop Choby, Father Kibby and
myself, I write to invite you to our Cathedral Gala, the
closing celebration of our 100 years as a parish. Through
the dedication of Father Kibby, the 100 Year Celebration
Committee, and many volunteers, it has been a grace-filled
year of celebration events. The support and dedication of
the Cathedral parishioners for over 100 years is indeed
worthy of our many events, and this last one is not one to
be missed.
On Wednesday, December 9, at 6:00 p.m., Bishop
Choby, with Father Kibby and I concelebrating, will
celebrate the Parish Anniversary Mass in the Cathedral
followed by dinner at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. We are
thrilled to be able to enjoy the presence of the Fisk
Jubilee Singers at the Gala Dinner. The evening promises to
be one filled with prayer, great food, wonderful
entertainment as we come together to close the celebration
of our 100 years as a parish.
We hope that all of you can join us for the
Mass and as many as possible for the dinner and
entertainment to follow. The cost of the dinner is $100.00
per person, and we ask that you RSVP with the enclosed card
by November 20. Seating will be limited.
Bishop Choby, Father Kibby and I look forward
to seeing you on December 9. May God bless you and the
Cathedral parish for another 100 years!
Yours in our Lord,
Rev. Edward F. Steiner

Cathedral Donor Unveiling and Recognition Party
Held on
June 17, 2009
As part of the continued 100 year celebration, Cathedral parishioners
gathered to celebrate the completion of the huge accomplishment of the
Cathedral improvements and restoration project – “Handing On the
Tradition”. There was a nice cocktail party at the Rectory hosted by Fr.
Pat Kibby followed by the unveiling of the significant donors names
listed on the hallway in front of St. Albert Hall. Thanks to all who
contributed to the successful project which allows the Cathedral to be
“handed on” to the current and future generations!
